FAQ

1. Who is KIWIE?

KIWIE is a street art character created by Grandpa John in 2006. Since then, the pudgy, toothy monster has appeared on walls, streets, and canvases all over the world.

2. Where can I buy original KIWIE artworks?

You can purchase available artworks and limited-edition items directly from grandpas official shop at https://www.kiwie.com. Each piece is authentic and comes directly from the studio.

3. Are the artworks one-of-a-kind?

Prices vary depending on the size, medium, and complexity of the work. Canvas pieces typically start from several thousand euros. For specific pricing, check the shop listings or reach out to us directly.

5. Do you ship internationally?

Yes! Grandpa ships worldwide from Latvia. Shipping costs and times depend on your location. Orders are usually processed within 3–7 business days.

6. Can I return or exchange a purchase?

Occasionally, yes. If you’d like to commission a mural, canvas, or a unique collaboration, please contact us via the Contact page. We consider requests individually based on scope, timing, and creative fit.

AUTHENTICITY

Every KIWIE artwork comes with a full guarantee of authenticity.

  • Original paintings are always one-of-a-kind and will never be reproduced. Each canvas is recorded in our official studio archive with a unique artwork code that verifies its provenance and uniqueness.
  • Prints and editions are strictly limited, hand-signed and numbered by Grandpa. Once an edition is sold out, it will never be reprinted. In rare cases, Artist Proofs (APs) or Printer’s Proofs (PPs) may exist - these are also signed, numbered, and documented.
  • Each artwork comes with a signed and laminated Certificate of Authenticity, featuring its unique code and details. Certificates may also include security elements such as embossed seals, hologram stickers, or QR codes linking directly to the KIWIE archive.

Each canvas is painted on premium-quality frames and high-grade canvas fabric, then finished with a protective varnish to preserve the colors and shield the artwork from UV light, dust, and weather.
  • Signatures and markings are applied directly to the artwork (front or back), sometimes with additional studio stamps or hidden identifiers for extra security.
  • All works are created using archival-quality paints, inks, and surfaces to ensure durability and longevity.
  • Provenance protection: If a piece is ever resold or exhibited, its authenticity can be verified through the studio using the unique artwork code.
  • Care instructions are included with every purchase to help collectors preserve their artwork.

Owning a KIWIE piece means holding part of a living, global archive of street art history - each work is a permanent chapter in Grandpa’s ongoing journey.
